아이들이 학문 영역의 벽을 넘나들며 과학과 문학이 어우러진 새로운 세계를 탐색하고, 발견하고, 창조해가며 아름다움을 느끼고 개념적 바탕 위에서 실용적 성취를 경험하면 얼마나 행복할까?
창의ㆍ융합형 인재를 길러내기 위하여 각광받고 있는 STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathmatics 교육에서도 과학 중심 문학, 예술의 융합적 경험을 매우 중요시하고 있다.
어린 자녀를 과학적 소양인으로 길러내기 위하여 부모가 자녀와 함께 할 수 있는 놀이(활동를 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 과학 개념을 내포하고 있는 동시를 감상하고 그 동시에서 질문을 찾아내고 과학놀이를 통해서 궁금한 문제를 해결하고자 하였다. 조금 더 욕심을 내어 과학개념을 다른 영역과 융합하여 새로운 창안물을 만들어내는 경험을 하면 문제를 창의적으로 해결하는 능력에 힘이 생길 것이다.
